Use a domain you control
How domain verification, DNS, HTTPS, and user permissions work together in Capybara Link.
Connect a domain from your account
With active paid access, open Domains in your dashboard and add a hostname you own, such as links.example.com. The current hosted checkout is a sandbox preview; no real money is charged.
Verify ownership and set DNS
Add the TXT record and exact token shown by the app at _capybara.links.example.com. Add an A record for links.example.com pointing to 147.93.118.75, remove AAAA records, and keep proxying disabled. Use Verify ownership in the app.
Wait for HTTPS to be ready
The hosted service checks DNS, configures routing, and activates HTTPS automatically. The dashboard shows the current status. Publishing unlocks only when the domain shows Ready to publish · HTTPS active. If DNS changes, restore the required records and wait for verification again.
Publish your page or short links
Choose your ready domain when creating a page or redirect. You can keep saving page drafts before publishing. An administrator can assign an eligible published page to the domain’s homepage.
Administrator-managed installations
Administrators can also add shared domains and grant user permissions. On a separately operated installation, the operator configures DNS, routing, and HTTPS. Ownership verification alone does not set up hosting.
